What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of personal information include your name, address, telephone number, and email address. If the information we collect personally identifies you, or you are reasonably identifiable from it, the information will be considered personal information.
The personal information that we collect is necessary for and related to operating and marketing Freshwater Place residences. In addition to fulfilling any requests you may make to us, the information we collect may be used for our internal business purposes, such as our own internal administrative and accounting functions, our professional and legal obligations (including reporting obligations), to keep you informed about new projects, products, service offerings and initiatives, to invite you to functions and events, to keep you updated with relevant property information, ongoing newsletter communications, other marketing activities, conducting feedback requests, the operation of the Freshwater Place website and portals, statistical collation, website traffic analysis and to assist Freshwater Place in improving the services that we provide. We may also disclose your information to third parties, such as body corporates, building contractors and maintenance contractors where it is reasonably necessary for them to provide related service offerings that you have requested or for them to assist us in carrying out our business or providing our services to you.
The personal information that we collect from you will depend on whether (for example) you are a vendor or purchaser of property, a landlord or a tenant, or a guest. The types of personal information we may collect are your name, address, phone, fax and mobile numbers, email address, date of birth, gender, and identification details and documents. We may also collect details of your occupation, employment history, residential history, income details and insurance policies (where relevant). Such personal information may be obtained through various means, including via our concierge, telephone, emails, online and paper-based application forms, contracts and other documentation submitted to us. Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some instances we may also receive personal information about you from third parties such as Government departments and agencies, local Councils, real estate agents, your family members, authorised third parties and publicly available sources.
Even if you are not a client of ours, or even if we only have limited contact with you, we may still collect, hold, use and disclose some personal information about you (for example, if you are put forward as an emergency or next-of-kin contact).
When you browse our website at freshwaterplace.com.au, use the Kindred application or contact us electronically, we may record your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, referring website addresses, geographical tagging, cookies and statistical data.
Where you are a prospective employee or contractor of Freshwater Place, we will collect, use, hold and disclose certain personal information for purposes related to your prospective recruitment or engagement. In some cases, our recruitment activities may be managed by a third party recruitment agency.
We will also disclose your personal information with other third parties where required to do so by law.
When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
Security of Personal Information

However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.
Freshwater Place will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.
In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
